#18J BBQ concentration in front of the spanish Embassy – Rajoy Resignation

Protest during the european people’s party (EPP) summit in Vienna 20.6.13

Vienna, on Thursday 20th June 2013

AUSTERITY KILLS!
NO SPACE TO THE RESPONSIBLES OF THE CRISIS
WE WILL FIGHT THEM FROM EVERYWHERE

As a response to the summit of the “European Popular Party”, the spanish President Mariano Rajoy, and other european leaders (Merkel, Samaras, Durao Barros, Van Rompuy, Juncker, etc…) visited the city of Viena (Kursalon Huebner / City Park) tomorrow 20th of June 2013. Juventud Sin Futuro / Marea Granate – Viena and other social organisations of Vienna, we are making a call to welcome the attendants in the way they deserve.

The visible figures of the European political class that are applying right now the criminal austerity policies will gather to discuss, in the backs of the European citizenship, the continuity strategies and the next steps of this “shock therapy” – in response to the direct demands of the economic elites. The consequences of this therapy is growing social and humanitarian crises in many of our countries, and its main victims are – the already lessened – democracy, the welfare state and human rights.

WHY ARE WE MOBILIZING?

In a context of the worrying authoritarian drift that the neoliberal Europe is assuming – and its associated social effects, like the growth of fascist movements in many countries –, it is urgent that the citizenship organizes itself at a grass-root level, in social and solidarity terms, in order to respond to these menaces.

We denounce the illegitimate and fraudulent character of the government of Mariano Rajoy, having reach an absolute majority in Parliament through a deceitful and massive scam towards the  citizenship, which consisted in the application of the hidden agenda of the Spanish and European capital once in government; an agenda that, by the way, no one voted for.

We also denounce the rampant corruption that is affecting its own government ranks (and him at a personal level); sufficient condition in any minimally democratic country to present the government’s resignation as a whole and call for anticipated general elections.

Here in the city of Vienna, we the economic exiled persons from different countries of the European periphery we have started to organize to respond collectively to this crisis and to the precariousness that we are suffering as migrants. The crisis is systemic and is affecting the working persons in a very similar way, regardless of our origins. For that reason, we have decided to fight back in solidarity with each other.

Because we will not pay for their crisis,
we declare ourselves in disobedience to the dictatorship of the market
We demand a social, democratic and solidarity-based Europe!

Free market July 7th

“-Therefore we organize ourselves like this: free and horizontally, asking for nothing, as if the market didn’t exist, freegans and gratuitous, free. Surrounded only by friends!”.

This is a free market, really free and freegan and gratuitous, in which people (you) bring what they don’t need and can take whatever they want without giving (nor asking) anything in return. Money doesn’t exists here, this a space alien to capital flows, where the most important is not even material things, but the people you get to know, the time you enjoy while learning that economy is not the same than capitalism and that there’s life outside the system (and outside your house!).

This is only a first step, the first of many, the jump that starts the fly that brings you closer to friends, towards this possible world that we all have deep inside.

Welcome!

Sunday July 7th, 19:00 h, corner Mariahilferstraße / MuseumsQuartier 1070 Vienna
